The 100 Updates: Possible “Bellarke” In Season 3 and Raven’s Worrisome Future
The last few months of summer usually mean that it won’t be long until the fall television season rolls in. This also means that the casts and crews of both fall television shows and the midseason shows are currently in the process of making wonderful new episodes for viewers and fans to feast their eyes upon. In the midst of all of this, the CW’s “The 100” has been busy, as another cast member has just been added to the post-apocalyptic drama in the person of Zach McGowan. Aside from this, actress Lindsey Morgan has accidentally leaked a cryptic spoiler on social media, and show creator Jason Rothenberg has reassured fans time and time again that a particular “ship” or relationship will be happening in the future. WARNING: This article may contain some spoilers regarding the third season of the CW’s “The 100”. Read on only to learn more about what might happen to Raven Reyes, who the new addition to the cast is, and whether or not fans should lose hope for an eventual Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin relationship.
With everything that both the adult and teenaged characters of the young adult post-apocalyptic CW drama, “The 100”, have been through, one would wonder if the two leaders of the Sky People, Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) and Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) have any time to rest, or any time for a love life. The second season saw Clarke bonding romantically with the Grounder leader Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), but with her betrayal, and with Clarke leaving Bellamy and Camp Jaha to do some soul searching first, it seems like a far-away dream for fans who want Bellamy and Clarke to be together. However, show runner and creator Jason Rothenberg does offer some solace regarding this aspect.
Sometime after the season finale of the second season of the show, Rothenberg, in an interview with E Online, reassured the fans of the show that even though Clarke has momentarily left Camp Jaha and Bellamy, that it doesn’t mean that “their connection” is over. After all, the pair did hope that they would meet again someday. However, with the news that Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), who made it clear last season that she is interested in Clarke romantically, will be back, many feel as if Bellamy and Clarke or “Bellarke” may never happen.
Rothenberg told fans not to worry as there will be no doubt that it will happen, especially as it is stated so in Kass Morgan’s novels, which were the basis for the show. However, he’s not rushing to pair them up as he wants it to happen naturally and organically within the story.
Aside from this, The Wrap recently announced that “Black Sails’” Zach McGowan has landed the role of a recurring character named Roan, a Grounder who no longer lives with his clan, and is described as someone who would to go any lengths in order to get what he wants.
It also seems like things might get interesting for Lindsey Morgan’s Raven Reyes based on her accidental tweet in which she spoiled something in the language of the Grounders, Tigedaslang, regarding the third episode of the third season, as she had just read the script.
However, even though Rothenberg mentioned that it was a spoiler, it is cryptic enough to get fans a little bit worried about Raven’s fate, especially as she was placed through the wringer in the final episodes of the second season as she had gotten tortured by the Mountain Men during the final battle in which Clarke executed the entire population of the Mount Weather in order to free her people from them.
What do you think of the addition of Zach McGowan to the cast? What do you think Lindsey Morgan’s tweet meant for her character? Do you think it was a cryptic spoiler for what’s to come for Raven? Which pairing do you prefer- Lexa and Clarke or Bellamy and Clarke, and when do you think Bellamy and Clarke would be able to get together?
