2NE1 Still On Hiatus: Members Focused On Solo Careers; Celebrates 4th Year Japanese Debut Anniversary
It has been four years since 2NE1 members, CL, Dara, Minzy and Bom successfully debuted in Japan, and now, Japanese Blackjacks are waving their hands in the celebration of the group’s 4th year anniversary! Read on.
Minzy, the youngest among the group expressed her gratefulness by celebrating along with their fans, according to Koreaboo.
In her Instagram post that was shared last Sept. 21, 2015, includes a group picture of 2NE1.
Meanwhile, CL, the leader of the group and was dubbed as the “Baddest Female” took her Twitter to greet all Japanese Blackjacks. In her post, CL shared the group’s photo and writes: “#blackjacknolza thank you always blackjack JAPAN we miss you and we love you so much!loveyouloveyouloveyouloveyou.”
2NE1 made their Japan debut on Sept. 21st and from then on, upon releasing their first mini-album, their music started to dominate Japanese charts with hit singles like “Ugly,” “I Am The Best,” “Hate You,” “Don’t Stop The Music” and “Lonely.”
On the other hand, when it comes to the member’s solo careers, CL and Dara Park are the most active among the group.
Chaelin Lee a.k.a CL was the first one to announce her solo activities.
According to Kpopstarz, the 24-year-old rapper is set to release her US debut album, however, it was delayed once again, and fans need to wait for another month.
CL’s representative said that the “I Am The Best” singer/rapper is working hard on her solo album and is in focus on perfecting the song.
Adding on, the representative also assured the fans that though the launch was pushed back again, the album will still be released within this year.
Meanwhile, her 2NE1 bandmate Sandara Park a.k.a Dara is currently busy on her acting career.
The 30-year-old singer and actress recently star in two web series namely, “Dr. Ian” and “We Broke Up”
Now, Dara was again tapped as the lead for an upcoming KBS web drama “Missing Korea.”
