5 Seconds Of Summer Member Michael Clifford Falls Off Stage Because Of Rita Ora At BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards
5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) band mate Michael Clifford revealed that Rita Ora was the reason why he fell down in a stage hole during the band’s performance! Read On!
On BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards last Sunday, a not-so unusual moment happened to 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) member Michael Clifford as he once again injured himself in Wembley and his reason was because of the “X Factor” coach and judge, Rita Ora! How is that even possible?
According to Huffington Post, 5SOS was introduced by the 24-year-old singer and Nick Grimshaw. At first, everything was at the right places—the crowd and even the boys bounced their heads to the song “Hey Everybody!” however, it wasn’t long before Clifford unnoticeably stepped into the middle side of the stage where the big hole was located, and as if on cue, as Luke Hemmings and the audience clapped their hands to the air, Clifford, on the other hand, lost his footing and fell down in the hole.
Although it seems like most of the people didn’t even notice that he was gone the moment he had just begun strumming the first few notes, unfortunately, the fall was captured on video by several fans.
Mirror reported that Clifford didn’t seemed too hurt by his sudden fall as he has admitted that he is on crutches, but was quick to tell his fans that he’s “Ok.”
Adding on, Clifford also hinted on his next Twitter post about his previous stage accident where he caught his hair on fire.
Moreover, shortly after his accident, the 19-year-old band guitarist joked about his unforgettable yet funny moment at the Teen Awards. Clifford claimed that he was distracted by none other than “The X Factor” beauty, Rita Ora.
When he talked about his fall to Radio 1, Clifford candidly said that: “I was looking at Rita Ora and I was like ‘Hey…’ and I fell.”
On the other hand, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood was also interviewed about Clifford’s “fall down” moment and here is what they said:
