Miss Universe 2015 will be the 63rd annual Miss Universe Pageant and will take place in Miami-Doral, Florida. The three-hour special airs live from Florida International University on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. ET. The contestants from around the globe will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Gabriela Isler from Venezuela will crown her successor at the finale of the event. Philippines – Mary Jean Lastimosa
The 5′ 9” 27-year-old beauty from North Cotabato is fluent in Filipino and English. Lastimosa has a steadfast zeal for philanthropy and public service. Born in a war-torn province with political insurgencies, she learned the values of courage and became determined to excel in academics. Her surroundings did not stop her from pursuing her passion for dancing, music and performing arts. This also inspired her to work under the city government to work on education and child welfare projects. She took on the challenging course of Computer Engineering with the help of three scholarships and graduated with flying colors. Faith brought her to a different path and led her to be a successful entrepreneur and a beauty queen.
Miss USA – Nia Sanchez
The first contestant from Nevada to be crowned as Miss USA. Sanchez was born in Sacramento. The 24-year-old American beauty entered the pageant world when she was 13, and by the age of 19, she won her first title as Miss Citrus Valley USA, where she represented her country in Ecuador for the Miss Latino competition. Sanchez, who is one of the strong contenders to win the title, is a fourthth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also a certified instructor. She was a Face Character at Disneyland in the United States and worldwide.
Miss Venezuela – Migbelis Castellanos
The country of Venezuela has the great history at winning the pageants, so following the footsteps of Miss Universe 2013 Gabriella Isler, Migbelis Castellanos is highly anticipated to win. A model and pageant titleholder, the 19-year-old stunner is doing two BAs, Social Communication in Universidad Rafael Belloso Chacin and Political Science in Universidad del Zulia. She loves to play baseball. She is incredibly patriotic.
India – Noyonita Lodh
The 21-year-old brunette from Bengaluru is pursuing a degree in Business Management from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce. With a height of 5’ 6,” she has won two local pageants at the age of 16 and 18 before she won Miss Universe India 2014. She is fluent in Hindi and English. She has an ardor for women empowerment. She is quite adventurous and loves to shop.
Colombia – Paulina Vega
The 21-year-old gorgeous girl is the daughter of cardiologist Rodolfo Vega Llamas and Laura Dieppa. She speaks English, Spanish and a bit of French. Notable point is that in the Miss Universe Colombia pageant, she earned the highest score in every completion round, 9.9. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going to the park with her dog Mateo. Pauline Vega is a granddaughter of a beauty queen, Miss Atlantico 1953 Elvira Susana Castillo Gomez. The Colombian beauty queen at present is studying Business Administration at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota. She has completed her high school at Deutsche Schule Bogota in the same city.
