A.J. Cook returns as JJ on episode 7 of ‘Criminal Minds’ season 11; David Rossi’s daughter and ‘Dirty Dozen’ also return
Aisha Tyler had been doing a good job so far in filling the female lead shoes in “Criminal Minds” season 11 as Dr. Tara Lewis. But fans still cannot help but miss Jennifer Jareau (A.J. Cook), who had been with the show since season one. But they need not fret anymore, the communications liaison-turned supervisory special agent is returning this month!
A.J. Cook has recently posted a photo of her and her new baby on Instagram and captioned it with, “To all those concerned: Don’t worry! I’ll be back on #criminalminds episode 7. Thank you for missing me and thank you for understanding that I need #mommytime.” While that was a good a reassurance as any, nothing beats an official word from CBS. And the network has now released the official synopsis for episode even and true enough, it promises JJ’s return from maternity leave.
JJ’s return episode will be titled “Target Rich” and will air on November 11. The Behavioural Analysis Unit has a lot on their plate that day. The season’s big bad the Dirty Dozen, which had been introduced in episode one of season 11, will have their presence known once again.
CarterMatt posts the official synopsis for the said “Criminal Minds” episode, “[The] team is alarmed when Giuseppe Montolo (Robert Neary) dies in prison after he warns Morgan about the ‘Dirty Dozen,’ an underground group of hitmen.”
On top of that, viewers are also going to see another familiar face. Aside from JJ, David Rossi’s (Joe Mantegna) daughter, journalist Joy (Amber Stevens West), will also be popping in to investigate on a college student’s disappearance.
So definitely, the November 11 episode is something to watch out for — and not just because of JJ’s return but because of a brand-new case that will surely be as gripping as any the team has handled.
New “Criminal Minds” episodes air on CBS every Wednesday night.
