‘Agent Carter’ Season 2 Spoilers: Inner Qualities Will Be Important For Peggy’s New Love Interest
Peggy’s (Hayley Atwell) new love interest in “Agent Carter” Season 2 would be a person different from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Atwell has previously said that Peggy’s romantic interest would not be confined to a single face in the next season.
According to International Business Times, Michele Fazekas, executive producer of “Agent Carter” told ComicBookResources that the new love interest of Peggy would be a person different from Rogers. Chris Dingess, executive producer of the show, clarified that Peggy fell in love with Rogers prior to his Captain America character.
Dingess revealed that the “Agent Carter” team tried to find someone with Steve like qualities for Peggy’s new love interest character. However, he also disclosed that the character would not be a ‘hunk’ and that the inner qualities are given more importance.
Tara Butters, executive producer of the show, told that the team ensured that Peggy’s new love interest is different from Rogers, adding that it’s not necessary that Peggy would always fall for the same character, and it would be fun to wonder, who would be then.
Atwell also revealed during an interview with TVLine that Peggy would have “more than one love interest in the next season.” She also added that the “Agent Carter” story would travel to Los Angeles from New York City, where Peggy would join James D’Arcy (Jarvis) for another assignment. In fact, D’Arcy would help Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark) to open his movie studio.
TheMarySue reported that there is least possibility of Peggy appearing with Angie (Lyndsy Fonseca) in the “Agent Carter” Season 2, as spoilers suggest repeated use of Peggy’s new love interest in the Season 2. Even the producers of the show have not confirmed that Angie would appear in the Season 2. However, Butters said that we could expect “some familiar faces” in Season 2.
The “Agent Carter” team emphasized the need to choose Peggy’s new romantic interest to be someone different from Steve Rogers.
