Agent Venom Teams Up with Spidey This Week in Marvel’s ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors’

Agent Venom debuts in this week’s Marvel’s ‘Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors.” Read on to learn more about this story.

On its new season, New York’s friendly neighbor teams up with the most unlikely ally, Agent Venom. In Season 3, Flash becomes Agent Venom after bonding with one of the mass-produced symbiotes created by Doctor Octopus and is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. at Nick Fury’s behest. After some convincing from Spider-Man, Fury allows Flash to join S.H.I.E.L.D. as a hero-in-training. Equipped with shoulder-mounted missile launchers, Agent Venom teams up with Spidey to battle Taskmaster and Beetle.

In the comics, Agent Venom or Flash Thompson attended the same high school and university as Peter Parker, who would later be known as Spider-Man. He frequently bullied Peter but was actually Spider-Man’s greatest fan. In time, Flash befriended Peter, becoming a decorated war hero. Approached by the Department of Homeland Security, he eventually becomes a candidate to be bonded with the parasitic alien, the symbiote Venom, in order to create a new super soldier. Currently, he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy as a representative of the Avengers in the space.

“Ultimate Spider-Man: Web-Warriors” follows Spider-Man as he trains along with Nova, Iron Fist, Power Man and White Tiger to become a real superhero and become “The Ultimate Spider-Man.” The new season opens with Spider-Man accepting an invitation to become an Avenger. Everyone’s friendly neighborhood gets one step closer to becoming the Ultimate Spider-Man. The new season will also introduce new Marvel heroes and villains alike, such as a new Iron Spider Amadeus Cho, Cloak & Dagger, Agent Venom  and Ka-Zar, as well as his alternate-universe counterparts such as Miles Morales, Spider- Ham, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Girl, Spider-Man Noir and Spyder-Knight. Flash is voiced by Matt Lanter.

Earlier, Donald Glover was set to voice, a half-Hispanic and half-black 13-year-old teenager, Ultimate Spiderman, Miles Morales.
