‘AHS: Freak Show’ Brings Back an Old Character

Ryan Murphy is bringing someone back in “American Horror Story (AHS) : Freak Show.” And she’s not just a simple character, but one of the favorites of fans. Read on to learn more about it.

Naomi Grossman, who played Pepper in “Asylum” will return in the upcoming season. The rumors about her coming back have been going around since July, but no one has confirmed it yet until Murphy himself confirmed that “She is in this.”

This marks the first time that Murphy will make a character come back from a previous season to another with still the same character. “We thought about it long and hard and we decided that it was interesting to do,” he said. It will also mark as a “prequel” for both the show and Pepper as it takes place 12 years before “Asylum.”

According to E! Online, Pepper will be one of Elsa Mars’ entertainers in the freak show, and this is how Elsa Mars found Pepper.

“What Elsa has done for 20 years is she goes around to hospitals and jails and rescues these ‘freak’ circus performers who are going to be shipped away to asylums and she signs the waivers and she becomes their guardians,” said Murphy on E! Online.

Murphy has never used old actors or characters to incorporate in his latest season and this is the first time that this going to happen, which is very interesting. We wonder how things will turn out. Also, we are happy to have Pepper back in the show because she has always been such an interesting character in ‘Asylum.’ In fact, that season wouldn’t be the same without her! We are curious to know what Pepper’s freaky talent would be!

“American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres on Oct. 8, 2014 on FX.
