It looks like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” will be a powerhouse cast with the addition of Victoria’s Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio and “Arrow” star Stephen Amell. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
The original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” recently celebrated its 25th anniversary since its debut on Mar. 30, 1990. Now, the movie is getting a brand new look and cast with the reboot of the film in 2014. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael are back with new faces to brave the big screen in 2016.
It was recently reported that Ambrosio and Amell will be joining the cast in the 2016 film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.” While the synopsis for the movie is yet to be released, details about Ambrosio and Amell’s roles have already been announced.
According to E! News, Ambrosio will be playing Vernon Fenwick’s (played by Will Arnett) love interest in the film.
Paramount Studios confirmed the 33-year-old model’s role for the film after photos of Ambrosio and Arnett kissing and laughing together at Madison Square Garden surfaced on the Internet. These photos initially sparked rumors that Ambrosio and Arnett were dating.
The outlet noted that this is not Ambrosio’s first debut on the big screen. It was after starring in a cameo role in “Casino Royale,” however, her role back then was too short to even notice.
Ambrosio’s role in “TMNT 2” will mark her major acting debut along with her appearance in another upcoming movie, “Daddy’s Home.”
Meanwhile, Amell will be playing Casey Jones in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2,” Variety reported.
The outlet described Amell’s character as “a loner who becomes an ally of the turtles and a love interest for O’Neil.”
Megan Fox is back on set as April O’Neil. Fox, Ambrosio, and Amell will play alongside Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick) and Tohoru Masamune (Shredder).
David Green will be directing while Michael Bay will be producing the film together with Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.
“TMNT 2” begins filming in New York in April and is set to hit the theatres on June 3, 2016.
