Amanda Bynes News: She is ‘Much Happier’ Now and ‘Getting Along’ with Her Parents

Finally! Amanda Bynes is reportedly doing much better now than she has in the past few years. After being charged of DUI and her controversial tweets in 2014, the “She’s the Man” star is said to be doing well. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

Amanda Bynes had many fans worrying over her troublesome behavior and appearances over the past few years. But in these past few weeks, Bynes has been reportedly doing much better than she was months ago.

“Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago,” a family source tells People Magazine. Their source says that Bynes is living on her own and “is much happier.”

While Bynes seemed to have something against her family back then, the outlet reported that “she and her parents are getting along.” Flashback to 2014, the “Easy A” star even went as far as announcing that she wants to murder her entire family.

According to TMZ, Bynes had a recorded audio of her saying that she had dreams of “killing her dad, burning their down, and slitting her mom’s wrists.” The audio was said to have been recorded by one of Bynes’ West Hollywood roommates. Bynes’ family agreed to have the outlet release the said audio in order to serve as a “wake-up call for medical professional to intervene and get her help.”

Bynes’ mother, Lynn was first granted conservatorship over Amanda’s finances and medical needs in August 2013. In court papers, Lynn said that her daughter’s bizarre behavior can become a “substantial risk to herself, to others, and to property.”

The magazine outlet also reported that a judge extended Bynes’ conservatorship until the next hearing on June 23, 2015. It was after her Oct. 2014 release from a psychiatric facility. She was arrested in 2012 for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Many fans believed is what sparked her erratic responses to authority. Bynes was able to avoid jail time by getting herself admitted for inpatient treatment and was placed on three years’ probation in May 2013. She is currently facing $16,000 worth of legal fees from her lawyer, who also claims that he was Bynes’ savior.
