American Crime Season 2 Updates: Lili Taylor, Elvis Nolasco and Richard Cabral to Return
It looks like majority of the cast of the first season of Ridley Scott’s crime anthology “American Crime” are in for a reunion. It was reported that that three cast members from the first season will be returning to join Regina King, Felicity Huffman and Timothy Hutton for the second season. According to reports on both TV Line and Deadline, Richard Cabral and Elvis Nolasco, who were series regulars on the first season of “American Crime” will be returning for the second season. They will be portraying new characters in a different setting- specifically, in a highly prestigious preparatory school, and the second season will be shot in Austin, Texas.
In the first season, Elvis Nolasco portrayed a young man, named Carter Nix, from the fringes of society, who was accused of murder. As the season progressed, his cause was taken up his sister, portrayed by Regina King, She is also returning for a second season as a series regular, and became the figure of a movement in the area.
Actor Richard Cabral, on the other hand, played Hector Tontz, a petty criminal who illegally entered into America with the hope of the American Dream, only to get played by the system, both in America and in Mexico. He was wanted as he had killed someone in defense of a very good friend. However, unlike Nolasco’s character, Hector Tontz, back in Mexico. He reunited with his long-time girlfriend and young daughter managed to get another chance at life.
Deadline also reported that actress Lili Taylor is also returning for the second season as a series regular.
Viewers only got to saw the actress in several of the episodes of the first season. There, she played Nancy Straumberg, a grieving mother who lost her son in a shooting and her son wasn’t able to get the justice he deserved. Because of this, she had started a movement and an organization in which she helped and supported Barb, Felicity Huffman’s character, throughout the entire process.
