American Odyssey Finale Recap: Real World

American Odyssey” Season 1 Episode 13 “Real World” aired last Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. In the season finale, Harrison Walters (Jake Robinson) and Bob Offer (Nate Mooney) raced against time to find the evidence they needed to put Osella behind bars, but in the process, Harrison made a terrible realization about what happened the night Ruby Simms (Daniella Pineda) died. At the same time, Peter Decker (Peter Facinelli) raced against time in order to save Prime Minister Sophia Tsaldari (Orla Brady) from taking the deal with Societel. Meanwhile, in Spain, Sergeant Odelle Ballard (Anna Friel), before meeting the reporter, Odelle realized that coming out was only just the beginning for another perilous journey. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Peter Decker (Peter Facinelli) tried to call Harrison Walters (Jake Robinson) in order to get more proof regarding Sergeant Odelle Ballard’s (Anna Friel) statement. Greek Prime Minister Sophia Tsaldari (Orla Brady) needed more than pictorial proof that Odelle was going to expose Societel’s crooked dealings for her to call off the deal that she had made in order to cancel out Greek’s debt to them.

Meanwhile, Harrison finally gave in his article regarding the death of his father, Ruby Simms (Daniella Pineda), Black Sands and Osella’s involvement in everything related to Odelle. He managed to get a byline at the New York Times. He discovered that one of their reporters, Isabelle Rainey (Branka Katic) was going to meet up with Odell the next day at a café. She and Aslam (Omar Ghazoui) had finally arrived in Barcelona, and stayed with Luc Girard’s (Gregory Fitoussi) ex-wife. There, she reassured Aslam that Suzanne Ballard (Sadie Sink), and her husband, Ron Ballard (Jim True-Frost), who were flying in the next morning, would love him as much as she did.

At the bar, Harrison told Peter about Odelle meeting Isabelle Rainey but told him that he had no idea what Odelle was going to say. Because of this, Peter met up with Kevin Saunders (Paul Fitzgerald) at the New York Times and gave him his USB. It was even though he knew that he would be imprisoned because of how he had obtained the information on the drive.

In Spain, before Odelle could meet up Isabelle, Colonel Stephen Glen (Treat Williams) asked for a few minutes of her time. He begged her not to say anything about Societel and the cover up because if she didn’t, then she would be branded as a traitor and would never see her daughter again.

Back in New York, Peter and Joe tried to stop Sophia’s meeting, but Alex Baker (Jay O. Sanders) through them both out as he was sure that Odelle wouldn’t say anything about them. Downstairs, the monitors aired that the military was branding Odelle as a traitor.

Meanwhile, Harrison and Bob Offer (Nate Mooney) managed to hack into the drafts folder of Ruby’s joint account with Osella CEO Michael Banks (Connor Trinneer). It was revealed that Bob had been tortured and that Banks had Ruby kill Harrison’s father. After Bob sent it to an FBI Agent he knew would read it, Harrison confronted Banks at Ruby’s grave, where, while being taken away by the FBI, told Harrison that he had murdered Ruby. Harrison then remembered that during his struggle with Ruby over the gun she had, he had shot her in self-defense.

Meanwhile, the story came out, and Sophia’s deal was canceled. Baker then killed himself, and Jennifer Wachtel (Alex Kingston) tried to befriend Peter, who called up his wife. She wanted to divorce him, and went to dinner with Sophia, who thanked him for everything he had done and had risked.

In Spain, Odelle met up with her family briefly and told them to go with Isabelle’s friend as Glen and the others were already on their way. Ron managed to stall by punching Glen, and she rode off with Isabelle. She then called Luc’s ex-wife and told her and Aslam to go to the beach in Algeria, but Aslam decided to look for her.

Back in New York, Bob and Anna Stone (Tala Ashe) tried to comfort Harrison by showing him how the military was manipulating the Odelle Ballard story, but he just told them to leave him alone.

Days later, Odelle Ballard, under the name of Isabelle Rainey, with a new passport, entered Washington DC as she claimed that she was there to see an old friend.
