Amy Schumer Says She Is ‘Newly Famous’; It’s ‘Not Fun’ For Her
You may think that Amy Schumer is enjoying her growing stardom but it was a revelation for all of us when this comedienne reflected on the negative side of her being famous this Wednesday. She was present at a Sierra Club event for Act in Paris.
The actor said that she has attained stardom newly now and contrary to what many would love to believe, it is not at all fun to be a celebrity.
She was asking her audience in McKittrick Hotel to support an initiative for the U.N. Climate Summit in December. She shared how she realized that with fame, there also comes lot of pain.
Though she is having an upward journey in her career, she predicted the end date for her in Hollywood. She said that she knows that her upward swing would hardly last for another three months, as that is how things work in the industry.
She also hinted at the disappointment shown by her fans that did not look too happy with one of her recent weekend shows in Marine. Schumer said that perhaps that was the last time she would be on stage. The next time, they might all see her as a girl next door in an elevator.
Although, even if the actress may feel that her fame is wearing out, she showed no signs of it as she actually seemed to be happy performing before a crowd that was filled with celebrities.
The celebrity list included the Hollywood megastar Robert De Niro and hosts for the event, Keri Russell and Daren Aronofsky, among many others.
Schumer’s act was the last in a comedy lineup that included other fellow stars like Rachel Feinstein, Jim Gaffigan, and Aparna Nancherla. Schumer was full of praises forFeinstein, who she called her best friend. Schumer said thatFeinstein was incredibly funny.
Let us hope that Schumer’s predictions are proved wrong and she continues to give us pleasure and happiness through her acts for years.
