The July 7, 2014 epsiode of “The Bachelorette” concluded with the news about Eric Hill’s passing away. According to Hollywood Life, Eric met an accident during a paragliding activity in Utah. Read on to learn more about this news story.

For that particular “The Bachelorette” episode, Andi Dorfman visited the hometown of the contestants to be acquainted with their families. The Stir reported that Dorfman flew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to meet Nick’s parents and to spend some time in his hometown brewery. After that, she visited the Midwest to meet Chris’s family in Iowa. Then she stayed for a day in Tampa, Florida with Josh. The week finished as Andi met Marcus’s parents in Texas. During the episode, Bachelorette host, Chris Harrison, sat with Andi and the final four contestants at the host’s house. Everyone was shocked when the host told the cast that Eric has met an accident that put him in a serious condition, and unfortunately, he passed away that morning.

In the unusually emotional episode, Andi was seen putting her head down as she broke in tears for losing the life of someone who became part of her journey in search for her one true love. Nick and Josh were in tears as well after hearing the news about their good friend. Marcus, who was apparently very affected by the unexpected announcement, could not contain the situation and went outside.

Andi can be remembered having an argument with Eric on the June 2, 2014 episode when she went home upset because Eric told her that she had a poker face. Andi remembered that conversation with Eric while she cried, hugging a crew member of the show. Andi said that she could not believe her last interaction with Eric led to a misunderstanding. Later, she admitted to Chris Harrison that she felt guilty, but she had to be strong for the remaining guys so that she could pull everything back together in the show.

The episode ended with the traditional rose ceremony. However, Andi was observably having a hard time doing it after the heartbreaking news.

Heartfelt prayers go to Eric Hill’s family from Movie News Guide (MNG).
