Andrea Savage Joins Showtime’s ‘Episodes’
Showtime’s “Episodes” has just added another cast member, as Deadline reports that actress Andrea Savage will be joining the cast of the comedy show for its fourth season, which will return to television screens in 2015. Read on to learn more about this story.
“Episodes,” a comedy about making a comedy and making it in Hollywood, tells the story of a British married couple who bring their hit sitcom “Lyman’s Boys” to Hollywood upon the insistence of an American producer they met at a gala.
Hollywood isn’t what Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly Lincoln (Tamsin Greig) think it all as it is, as they learn that deals are made and broken all the time in Tinseltown. An example of this would be that they had wanted the actor who portrayed their main character in the British version to be in the remake, but they end up getting television star Matt Le Blanc, who portrays a fictional version of himself, as the lead instead. Matt is quite a handful for the unsuspecting couple, who only wants to make their show work.
The rest of the show chronicles Sean and Beverly, Matt and the rest of their cast, crew and network producers trying to put up the show and to keep it to stay afloat.
The series has run for three seasons since 2011 and is a joint production between BBC and Showtime and will return to television screens in 2015 for Season 4.
According to Deadline, Andrea Savage (“Step Brothers,” “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” “Dinner for Schmucks,” “The Hotwives of Orlando”) will be playing a character that will have a major storyline arc alongside Matt Le Blanc. She will be portraying Helen Bash, the new network head of a network company that will further complicate the lives of Matt, Sean and Beverly with regards to their television show.
