‘Aquaman:’ Jason Momoa Hints At A More Traditional Costume To Be seen In The Movie
People have not stopped talking about how changed (read menacing and awesome) Jason Momoa looks as Aquaman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The armor, the tattoos and hippie style dreadlocks make him look every single bit of the King of Atlantis that he is, but a recent update reveals that this might not be the only look Aquaman is going for.
According to Coming Soon, Jason Momoa, in an interview, hinted that there might be some bit of orange and green that they will be using for the character. The reason to do that is to stay in touch with the original material. The “Aquaman” actor added that this time around its not just Aquaman’s looks that are deadly but he is meaner and more upset this time around.
He is not happy with the way people have treated the oceans because it also happens to be his home. Jason also confirmed the news that he was recently scanned for the purpose making new bath-friendly toys. It is being said that new Aquaman action figures will be hitting the markets somewhere around Christmas, which children would surely look forward to. The actor confirmed the same and stated that there will be collectibles.
Screen Rant hinted that the original Aquaman costume will be used in future DC Extended Universe movies. There is a chance that the rugged tattooed look will only be for the short appearance Aquaman has in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and the full-fledged role in “Justice League” in 2017.
The makers might be going in for the traditional look when they will dwell more into the standalone “Aquaman” movie scheduled to release in 2018. Having an actor like Jason Momoa play the role of King of Atlantis and James Wan direct it, will only prove to do wonders for the movie and hopefully retire all the Aquaman jokes about how he can talk to fishes.
