Arrow: Everything You Need to Know Before Season 3 Airs in October [WATCH VIDEO]
“Arrow” Season 3 is set to air on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. To make the long wait bearable, we have gathered information to keep you abreast with the latest updates on “Arrow.” Read further to learn more about this scoop.
It can be remembered that in “Seeing Red,” it was revealed through a flashback that Oliver (Stephen Amell), back in his carefree days, had a woman pregnant. Moira (Susanna Thompson) talked to the poor lass and paid her to tell Oliver that she lost the baby. As the show goes deep in exploring Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) past, will it also reveal the details about Oliver’s child this season?
“Half of our job is coming up with ideas, and the other half is exercising judgment in terms of the right time to play those ideas. We also need to have that moment happen in the right context. So is it Year 3, is it Year 10…? I don’t know. We’ve put it out there and we’ve got some cool ideas about where to go with it, should we do it, but we haven’t committed to actually doing it or even when to do it,” explained showrunner Marc Guggenheim to TV Line.
Moreover, aside from the newcomers previously revealed, the show has welcomed another villain. According to Entertainment Weekly, Simon Lacroix is joining “Arrow” as Komodo. Komodo is also an archer and a mercenary.
But wait… there’s more! Deadline reported that Rila Fukushima will portray Tatsu Yamashiro or Katana. Originally, Devon Aoki was tapped for the role. However, due to conflict in schedule, she was replaced. Katana is the wife of Oliver’s mentor, Toshi, who will mold him to becoming the Oliver/Arrow that he is now.
It turned out that Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) will not be the only man in Felicity Smoak’s life. In a report from TV Line, Nolan Funk was tapped to play Felicity’s ex-boyfriend, Cooper Sheldon, in Season 3. Funk will appear in the fifth episode, “Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak.”
