‘Arrow/Flash Spinoff’ Adds a Superhero

The CW’s “Arrow/Flash Spinoff” has just added a new superhero to its roster. This one’s a SHE, though and she has wings and a fierce attitude. Read below for the full details.

The upcoming spinoff will now feature Hawkgirl. Just recently, it has been announced that Ciara Renee (“Law & Order: SVU”) will play the role also known as Kendra Saunders.

In this new show, Saunders will dwell more on her “heroic lineage” since she has been reincarnated over and over again for centuries. When she was provoked, her inner warrior was unleashed and then she grew her wings, which earned her the title “Hawkgirl.” Renee has also played various Broadway roles such as her role in “Big Fish.”

Renee joins Brandon Routh (“Arrow’s” Ray Palmer/The Atom), Wentworth Miller (“The Flash’s” Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (“The Flash’s” Mick Rory/Heat Wave) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein).

However, this new superhero character isn’t included in the three DC superhero characters never seen on TV that the show will add. It was since “Hawkgirl” has been featured in “Smallville” Season 9, who was played by Sahar Biniaz.

“Arrow/Flash Spinoff” is one of the most awaited upcoming TV series yet details regarding its premiere haven’t been confirmed yet. In fact, other details are still being kept under wraps but for sure it’s definitely worth waiting for. So far, the show has been releasing casting news yet plot details are still being kept a secret for now.
