“Arrow” Haunted EP Recap: Constantine Was A “One-Time-Only” Deal, Legends of Tomorrow Heroes To Have A Big Crossover Send-Off
Constantine has finally crossed over to Starling City.
Matt Ryan, who portrays the DC demon hunter John Constantine of the defunct NBC supernatural tv series, lends more than just a hand in the recent episode of “Arrow” which was aptly entitled “Haunted.” Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t seen Episode 5 of “Arrow”.
Constantine arrives in the “Arrow” storyline as an estranged friend of Oliver Queen during his half a decade sojourn, E! Online reports. His character is tasked to undo the horrible resurrection of the original Canary, Sara Lance played by Caity Lotz from the Lazarus Pit.
In order to put the revived soul of Sara to her rightful condition; John, Ollie, and Laurel travelled to another realm. An escaped and rabid Sara has been in a non-stop killing spree which has deeply troubled not just Team Arrow but Sara’s father, Police Captain Quentin Lance as well.
The so-called other side resembles Nanda Parbat and the trio see Sara inside the Lazarus Pit desperately calling for her sister to aide her. Constantine takes it upon himself to fight off what adversaries will come next after Oliver shoots two members of the League of Assassins with his bow and arrow. Oliver helps Laurel in pulling Sarah out of the Pit as Constantine enunciates a spell to bring to a halt the evil spirit possessing her.
The episode ends in the “waking” world with a more tranquil Canary. As mentioned in earlier reports, Constantine’s guest appearance was just a “one-time-only” deal.

Another important storyline of the episode was Felicity getting hold of Ray Palmer’s “goodbye” message which revealed that he was alive and well.
These two latest developments of Canary and Palmer’s superhero character will be the beginning of a send-off for both of them as The CW will debut Legends of Tomorrow next year.
Marc Guggenheim, co-showrunner of “Arrow” made it factual to Deadline that they will indeed have another Arrow/Flash crossover but this time with much heavier stakes at hand.
“This is a big two-part event, one single bad guy, and it will very clearly launch Legends Of Tomorrow,” Guggenheim made his assurance during the interview.
