“Arrow” Season 3 Episode 2 “Sara” aired on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. A major character died in this episode, while Felicity accepted Ray Palmer’s offer. Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode, “Sara,” opened with Sara (Caity Lotz) being shot with three arrows and falling from a building. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Roy (Colton Haynes) and Oliver (Stephen Amell) entered Verdant and were surprised to see Laurel (Katie Cassidy) standing beside Sara’s body. The team then started working on finding out who killed Sara.
Laurel could not tell Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) about what happened to Sara as the tragic news could worsen his condition. She decided that she would tell her dad once they find out who the killer is.
Oliver went to the rooftop where Sara was killed, and he created a vision in his head on what could have possibly happened. Diggle (David Ramsey) appeared and showed support to Oliver. However, Oliver had to leave as Quentin would like to meet him.
When Oliver met up with Quentin, he was given the information about a man who was killed with an arrow, which means that there was a new archer lurking in Starling City. Oliver tried to think of possible suspects but came to realize that the League of Assassins would not kill one of their own. He enlisted Diggle’s help to look up A.R.G.U.S.’s database for information. We have learned that the new archer was Simon Lacroix (Matt Ward) aka Komodo. Felicity ran through a search and found out that Komodo was on his way to his new target. Oliver then suit up and looked for Komodo.
Komodo was not able to take down his target as Oliver showed up. The supposed victim was in the hospital when Laurel appeared and demanded to interview the guy. When he refused to tell Laurel what he knows, she twisted his arm. Then he revealed about AmerTek and a pipeline deal. Before he could say anything further, Komodo shot him in the chest. Felicity was able to track Komodo’s next target. Laurel took a gun and wanted to join Oliver. However, Oliver refused.
The next target was present in a party thrown by Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh). After his speech, Komodo broke in. Unknown to him, the team was also there. Komodo escaped to another floor, but Oliver managed to get him. After both men throwing arrows, Oliver got Komodo. Laurel appeared and wanted to shoot him. Oliver tried to talk her out of it. When she fired, nothing happened as Oliver took the bullets. During the confrontation, Komodo said that he did not kill Sara. Then who did?
Palmer bought the electronics store Felicity was working. She can either work for the store or for him at Queen Consolidated. Felicity refused. But it would not take her long until she changes her mind. After they have buried Sara, Felicity realized that she wanted to make more out of life. She then showed up at Queen Consolidated and accepted Palmer’s offer.
As for Diggle and Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson), they named their daughter Sara. Laurel tried to tell her dad about Sara but chose not to. Instead, she told her that she was sorry for lying to his subordinates.
The episode ended with Thea (Willa Holland) training at Corto Maltese, making her daddy proud.
