‘Arrow’ Season 3 Synopsis: Canaries

One of the biggest, most shocking turn of events in the third season of “Arrow” has to be the death of the original Canary, Sara Lance played by Caity Lotz. Now, things are getting more interesting as she makes a comeback and faces Lauren (Katie Cassidy). Read on to know more about this update.

Avid viewers of the “Arrow” were devastated and shocked when the original Canary, Sara Lance was pierced with arrows. She then took a tumble from the top of a high storey building that lead to her death. Lauren saw her fall and witnessed the life escape from her eyes. It triggered her inner rage in search for the revenge of her sister’s killer. In order to alleviate her intense anger, she enrolled in an intensive combat training to vent out all of her frustrations. Weeks of continuing her training, she finds out the evident absence of the Arrow a.k.a. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and resolves to assume the role that her sister started to protect Starling city. Now that she’s out and is on a mission to defend the city in her sister’s and Oliver’s stead.


According to the synopsis posted on ComicBook Movie, she goes face to face with one of Starling city’s most wanted criminal, Vertigo (Peter Stormare) in Season 3 Episode 13 “Canaries.”

After his disappearance, Oliver will deal with the apparent changes that has happened in Team Arrow. He also got mad when he learn about Laurel’s stint as Black Canary against Vertigo. He told her that not to risk her life in exchange of her revenge. Unfortunately, Laurel decided to disobey Oliver’s orders. She started tracking Vertigo,but it seems that the villain got the upper hand. Vertigo immediately shot her with a lethal dose of the hallucinogen drug. Vertigo used Laurel’s fear for Sarah in order to trick her. Laurel began to hallucinate about a battle between Canary and Black Canary. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) receives a surprise from Chase (guest star Austin Butler). She was also warned by  Roy (Colton Haynes) about Malcolm (John Barrowman).
