‘Assassin’s Creed’ Movie Director Talks About Film Plot; Adaptation Follows Original Gameplay
There is a new game-based movie coming out and it will be based on the hit game, “Assasin’s Creed.” The production house has declared that filming for the movie will start in September this year.
Although movies based on video games aren’t always big hits at the box office, some of them do boast of novelty and have good action sequences. Movies like “Hitman” and “Resident Evil” series go to show that video games can spawn successful movies too. It remains to be seen if the video game based movie “Assassin’s Creed” will be a hit with the movie audiences or not. The film’s rights have been bought by Sony Pictures and the filming will start in September this year.
Director Justin Kurzel is excited about the project. He is convinced that “Assassin’s Creed” will charm audiences because it has a strong story line that has a good historical background. He told the press that the story is full of intrigue and spectacle and will definitely be gritty and engaging.
“Because I think there’s so much underneath it,” Kurzel told IGN when asked why he thinks “Assassin’s Creed” might make a good movie. “I don’t think it’s your typical shoot-em-up game. I don’t think it’s your typical one-dimensional game. It has a heart and a history to it.”
Kurzel told the press that the story has a very human feel that will make it appealing to a wider audience.
Kurzel told the press that the story is going to be built around the original premise of one man looking for the wisdom of his ancestors in a war torn world. “The whole idea of memories and the whole idea of we are made up of who comes before us and within us we carry the DNA of our ancestors and we have access to those ancestors and they somehow speak to who we are now–that is just an incredibly strong, human kind of curious thing,” Kurtzel told IGN recently. He told them that this was the reason that over ninety million people enjoy playing this game.
