Avatar 2” has taken a long time than expected. Fans from around the world were hooking to any updates that are available to the super-hit “Avatar” franchise. But looks like, James Cameron has his own pace. The sequels to the world’s biggest grossing film of all time “Avatar” by 20th Century Fox will be Christmas gifts for all by “Titanic” director. Read on for more details.

“Avatar 2” Release Date and Premiere:

According to MasterHerald, “Avatar” had released in 2009 and after almost 8 years the sequel will be released in Dec. 2017. The report piece also reveals that “Avatar 3” and “Avatar 4” will release in consecutive years and will share the same release date as “Avatar 2”. So, most likely the Christmas will be merrier for all of us!

Cameron also confirmed that as the shooting location for all the three sequels of “Avatar” is set to be New Zealand. So as a thank you to the country, one of the sequels of the franchise “Avatar” will have the premiere in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.

“Avatar 2” Production and Filming:

According to Wikia, the sequel to “Avatar” will be shot before “Battle Angel.” The three sequels to “Avatar” will be shot simultaneously.

The sequel script is written by James Cameron and Josh Friedman. The scripts of the three sequels are good to go and the film’s pre-production is on high gear. It was said that there is the most difficult challenge that is being faced by Cameron. The outlet reported that it was to “cut out things in the three sequels that he likes or loves in order to fit to just three films and not exceed it.”

In an interview with Empire, Cameron informed that the movie will be shot in 48 frames per second rather than the usual 24 fps.

“I’ll be plugging into a system that’s a little more mature, so it makes sense for me to do 48 frames at this point,” Cameron said.

“Avatar 2” will be very ahead in technology that is being used same as prequel “Avatar.” The wait will be worth. According to Co-producer Jon Landau, WETA is going to capture all of the underwater scenes. Fans should be geared up to see extraordinary underwater sequences and Floating Mountains.

“It’s going to be a place we go to, leave and come back to,” Landau added.

It is also being rumored that “Avatar 2” will see volcano eruption too because of the three years time leap of the story.

“Avatar 2” Cast:

20th Century Fox mega-hit “Avatar” sequel will see almost all the characters who managed to survive in “Avatar” returning to “Avatar 2”. The main cast will be back including Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, CCH Pounder as Mo’at and Stephen Lang as Quaritch

Also, returning is Sigourney Weaver but will not be playing the same character. She will be playing the role of Dr. Grace Augustine.

“Avatar 2” Plot:

*Spoiler Alert*

The mega-sequels to “Avatar” after almost eight years will be self-contained stories. The sequels will share “Avatar” movie’s visual and emotional horsepower. The sequel “Avatar 2” plot will be more focused on exploring themes and characters.

Cameron had confirmed previously that “Avatar 2” plot will have return to Pandora. It is definitely confirmed, that is where the imaginations run wildly. Also, the underwater sequences will be to explore oceans of Pandora.

Landau had informed the sequels including “Avatar 2″ plot will be ‘action’ as well as ‘family movie’ and will definitely have good and bad humans and Na’vi.

“Avatar 2” plot will have a time leap of three years and will see Jake and Neyitri exploring other moons of Polyphemus. Stephen Lang as Col. Miles Quaritch had been killed off in “Avatar,” but in “Avatar 2” he will return and will be playing the major antagonist. The underwater sequences of the sequels to “Avatar” will be becoming a lot of nuisances for the humans in “Avatar 2.”
