‘Avatar 2’ Plot, Update: Darker Prison Theme And War Will Cause Serious Harm To Neytiri; Stephen Lang Joins?
James Cameron was still in his college when he started to work on the “Avatar” script. It took him almost one decade to get the proper technology to make his dream project come true.
For the sequel to “Avatar,” James Cameron is working very hard to bring the proper technology that will go with the darker side of the Na’vi. The first film set a benchmark for its technicality and the romantic story behind Jake Sully and Neytiri. With the sequel, the writer-director is taking forward to bring more dark sides into the story.
“Avatar 2” will explore the life of Ocean life of Pandora. In an interview with ComingSoon, James Cameron explained the reason behind him working on the story that will deal with the ocean.
“We’re making up an ocean ecosystem for Pandora. That’s gonna have less to do with the deep exploration that I’ve done than it has to do with my concerns about conservation of Earth’s oceans,” he explained.
Adding to the buzz, the director pointed out that in the upcoming “Avatar 2,” the bitter war between humans and Na’vi will upsurge to a limit that it will make either Jake Sully or Neytiri go to the prison. The theme of the movie is going to be dark, and there are chances that the romantic couple will go apart from each other to protect the ecosystem of “Avatar 2.”
It was also announced earlier that, Michelle Rodriguez will not be reprising her role in the upcoming “Avatar” movie. However, Deadline reported that Stephen Lang will be reprising his role of Col. Miles Quaritch.
Director James Cameron also revealed that Stephen Lang would be mix between “Star Wars” Darth Vaeder and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Terminator.” He added, “His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.”
