‘Avatar 2’ Update: Jon Landau’s Tweet Of Na’Vi Character’s Sketch Is Fake, Michelle Rodriguez Not In Sequel?
We are excellently familiar with James Cameron’s “Avatar” for bringing some of the beautiful concepts in the movie. Now this is the time for getting some new concepts for the much-anticipated movie “Avatar 2” that is so far known to be released in Christmas 2017. Continue reading to get a scoop of it.
A few days back, producer Jon Landau released a photo on Twitter, which was supposed to be an incomplete sketch of a Na’Vi character and the image was captioned “Avatar 2” that denoted a direct reference for the upcoming movie of Cameron. The image not only went viral due to excessive reporting surrounding the uploaded photograph by different media outlets, but also the fans started considering it true.
However, Deadline not only claimed that the update was a fake, it said that the image posted was taken from first movie of the franchise, i.e., “Avatar” that was earlier released in 2009.
On the other hand, the outlet even reported some important facts that testified that everything was fake. The most important point is that the Twitter account is already a fake Landau account with his photograph, and the producer has been trying to reach the social media giant to deal with it. The account is such a fake one that it even tweets “referring to Landau in third person” (the tweeting is done referring as “He” instead of “I”).
The publication raised another most important point that testifies it a fake one. The account shows Landau as the producer of “The Hurt Locker.” The fake user surely had simply put the name “The Hurt Locker” from Landau’s Wikipedia where it is clearly mentioned that “Avatar earned Landau his second Academy Award nomination, although the award went to the producers of “The Hurt Locker.” It seems the fake user is having poor sense in understanding English.
However, we have another important news for the “Avatar” fans. Venture Capital Post recently confirmed that Michelle Rodriguez would not be appearing in the upcoming movie “Avatar 2” although earlier it was told that most of the actors of the first movie would reprise their roles in the sequel.
