Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be reshooting in January in order to add more action scenes in the upcoming pic that is due for release on May 1, 2015. Read on for further details.

The cast of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be reshooting with helmer Joss Whedon and crew to add more action to the latest installment of Marvel’s superhero action pic. According to the report from Comicbook.com, the reshoot will last over a two-week period at Pinewood Studios in UK. It may not require all the cast to be present, but notices to core cast members such as Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and , as well as Tom Hiddleston (Loki) were sent. This confirms rumors about Loki’s presence in the upcoming sequel.

The “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will follow the events of the original film. With S.H.I.E.L.D.’s abolition on “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and the Avengers needing a hiatus from stopping threats, Tony Stark creates Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence, who can assess threats and control Stark’s Iron Legion. However, things go awry as his plan quickly backfires when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth. The superhero team will confront newcomers Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, as well as, the Vision.

The original cast will be suiting up to reprise their respective roles: Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Hayley Atwell, Thomas Kretschmann and Stellan Skarsgård  reprise their roles from previous MCU films as Maria Hill, Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Peggy Carter, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and Erik Selvig. Claudia Kim was cast as a scientist and friend of Tony Stark, while Andy Serkis is playing an undisclosed role in the film. James Spader plays central villain Ultron. Avengers’ co-creator Stan Lee is set to make a cameo appearance.

Paul Bettany, who voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. (Tony Stark’s AI butler) in previous films, will now play the synthezoid Vision, an android who is able to control his density, which enables him to phase through walls, fly or have a diamond-hard near invulnerability.  The Vision will be joined by Magneto’s twins, Pietro Maximoff and Wanda Maximoff/Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen respectively.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in North America in 2D and IMAX 3D. There you have it for the latest update on "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." For more news and updates about upcoming movies, check Movie News Guide (MNG) regularly.
