Avengers: Infinity War: Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to Make Appearance Alongside Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, The Wasp?
Tom Holland made a splash as Spider-Man in this year’s Captain America: Civil War and will be next seen in his own solo movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. With a major Marvel event like Avengers: Infinity War waiting to unfurl, it will need almost every hero present in the MCU to defend Earth from Thanos.
The question is if Tom’s Spider-Man will be one of the heroes, who will be taking part in the Avengers: Infinity War or not. Since there will be many heroes fighting against Thanos, having someone like Spider-Man will only prove to be beneficial. Here is why the web-slinger will be needed in the movie.
With a rumored total of 67 heroes taking part in Avengers: Infinity War, many heroes will have certain duties to carry out. So when heroes like Thor, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Star-Lord, Hulk and Drax will be busy fighting Thanos, others like Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, The Wasp and Giant-Man can be used to clear out the area and protect the civilians around.
Since the wall-crawler is known to be really fast with his swinging and shooting webs, he could create a distraction powerful enough to distract Thanos till the time others figure out a strategy to stop him.
Apart from his powers as Spider-Man, Peter Parker is also a scientific genius. He could collaborate with Tony, Bruce Banner and other geniuses to figure out some science, which can be used to defeat Thanos just in case if Gods and Sorcerer’s magic is not able to do that.
Taking part in an event like this will also nurture Spider-Man’s leadership potential. He will learn how to handle a team and how to act in an apocalyptic situation. Aside from that he will also learn what it is to work with a team and build allies along the way.
IGN reported what Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland said about his participation in Avengers: Infinity War. According to him, it is currently all up in the air as some kind of deal is being worked out as of now. He also added that he is not sure of what the deal is but gave a hint that there could be a sequel to his solo movie in the MCU.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will release on July 7 next year.
