‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers, Cast Update: Ben Higgins Confirmed As Season 20 Bachelor

Ben Higgins may have gotten his heart broken by Kaitlyn Bristowe in the recent season of “Bachelorette,” but he is ready for love as the new star of ‘The Bachelor.’

According to a report by US Weekly, Ben Higgins who was the second runner up in the last season of ‘The Bachelorette” has been chosen the new ‘Bachelor’ for the “The Bachelor” season 20. He will be the star of the next season of “The bachelor” 2016 which is set to premiere in January next year.

Higgins who is also known to fans as Ben H was chosen over the other favorite Nick Viall, the runner up of the season. Higgins had become a fan favorite because of his laidback nature and generally wholesome goodness that made him stand out amongst the usually bickering contestants. Constant fighting between winner Shawn Booth and the runner up Nick Viall got them flack from fans and made Ben Higgins a darling of the show’s viewers. Even Booth loved Ben Higgins personality so much, he told the press that he’d make the perfect bachelor and he deserved the best.

It is also clear that even though Ben Higgins has often told the press that he is “not extremely comfortable with the attention,” Higgins seems to have taken to his new life in the spotlight with delightful zeal, and is doing his best to get everybody’s attention. Radar online reported recently that he has turned down a promotion at work to stay on the reality show. He was also quick to discard his romantic feelings for his budding romance with Tenley Molzahn, who is also a serial reality show contestant who appeared on another season of the sister series ‘The Bachelor.’ “They wanted to hook up, but don’t want to jeopardize his stint,” a source revealed to Us Weekly.

Do you think Ben Higgins will make a good bachelor? Write your views in the comments section. We kind of liked Nick Viall better.
