In an exciting twist on “The Bachelorette” season 11, host Chris Harrison revealed that for the first time in the show’s history, the male candidates will be given the option to decide who among Britt and Kaitlyn will be their ideal wife.

In the “After the Rose” special, Harrison teased that the show producers had a hard time deciding who between the two former “The Bachelor” candidates will be the next bachelorette so they just decided to have both of them in the running.

“The 25 men on night one are going to have the ultimate say about who they think will make the best wife,” Harrison explained.

Britt and Kaitlyn were definitely surprised by the twist, but they both have different reactions. Britt was just happy to be given another shot in finding true love. She said being part of “The Bachelorette” season 11 is an “amazing opportunity.” Meanwhile, Kaitlyn jokingly teased that there will absolutely be plenty of laughs and tears, and likely a joint hot tub date too. She, however, revealed her true feelings about the twist. In full honesty, Kaitlyn revealed that she doesn’t want to be in a competition with Britt anymore. She quickly added that she doesn’t have anything against Britt it’s just that the new “The Bachelorette” set up was not exactly thawed she imagined it to be.

Kaitlyn is honest to admit that being in the same position with Britt is not what she really was hoping for. She admitted “Well, it’s not ideal, nothing against you. Just not really what I pictured.”

It looks like the fans of the hit reality series are in for an exciting ride. We could only hope that the new season would live up to its hype.

“The Bachelorette” Season 11 premieres Monday, May 8, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on ET.
