‘Barbershop 3’ Gets A Release Date
Ice Cube’s “Barbershop 3” is expected to release on April 15, 2016. The upcoming comedy film is a sequel to the 2004 film “Barbershop 2: Back in Business.” Read on for more details.
According to Latin Post, the third installment of the “Barbershop” franchise would arrive on theaters on Apr. 15 of next year, although the film was originally scheduled to premiere on Feb. 2, 2016.
Malcolm D. Lee is the director of “Barbershop 3” while Ice Cube, Robert Teitel, and George Tillman, Jr. are the producers of the film. It is also reported that the film “Best Man’s Wedding” that is another work of the Lee, which is also scheduled to release on the same date of release of “Barbershop 3.” Meanwhile, Ice Cube, who starred in the previous two installments of the franchise, would reprise his character Calvin Palmer in the third installment also.
The film includes the old cast members as well as some new faces. The cast members that we could expect in “Barbershop 3” are Ice Cube, Nicki Minaj, Cedric the Entertainer, Tia Mowry, Queen Latifah, Eve, Anthony Anderson, Keke Palmer, Deon Cole, Common, Marcia Wright, Lamorne Morris, Auntie Fee, and Regina Hall.
Deadline reported that MGM negotiated with actor-rapper to produce the third installment of “Barbershop” franchise in Mar. 2014. In Feb. 2015, Lee was fixed to direct the film, and Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer were confirmed to join the film. In March 2015, New Line Cinema collaborated with MGM to release the film, while MGM concentrated on the film’s production. In May 2015, the shooting for “Barbershop 3” started in Atlanta, Georgia. The film is now set to release in Apr. 2016.
The “Barbershop” comedy franchise has been very successful among fans of all creeds and colors. “Barbershop 3” would excite fans with the same gang with more comedy and interesting situations.
