‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Update: ‘Cyborg’ Star Ray Fisher Talks Meeting the Justice League
So to recap, Warner has just recently revealed the movie titles for its 10 announced release dates last week, among them are 2 Justice League pics. The studio also announced a solo superhero film for the character, "Cyborg." Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg for the upcoming “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," is reported to reprise his role for the said pics. Read on for more details on this scoop.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), Fisher was apparently called up by WB producers for a heads-up to reprise his role, hours before WB’s public announcement of its 10 DC titled pics.
“When I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific information, I found out then and there. I didn’t think I’d be getting my own stand-alone film.” said the 27-year-old actor in an interview with EW.
Fisher, who has wrapped up shooting his part last July, will be the first African-American to join in a non-ensemble superhero pic since Will Smith’s 2008 “Hancock.” Fisher confirms in his interview to have met up with other actors onset such as fellow New Jersey-born actor Jesse Eisenberg, and other Justice League members, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa.
“I met everyone in the Justice League except Henry Cavill and Ezra Miller – It was surreal. You get this idea of going to work on a Hollywood set as being really stressful and nerve-wracking. But it blew that stereotype away. If they did have stressful times, it wasn’t while I was there.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed the pic “Man of Steel.”
It stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is on course for a theatrical release on Mar. 25, 2016. For more details on celebrities, upcoming movies and TV shows, stay tuned here on Movie News Guide (MNG).
