‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:’ Does Batman Getting More Screen Time Affect The Movie In Any Way?
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is a DC heavyweight which will be loaded with some of biggest DC legends fans all over love and follow. Right from the beginning, the Dark Knight has been the biggest addition to the movie, so the decision to grant Batman more screen time by Warner Bros. executive does not sound too surprising. But are there any chances that the film as a whole will be affected by it? We take a look at it.
According to Movie Pilot, before it was confirmed by Zack Snyder himself, rumors were going around that more focus would be put on Batman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” It was being said that Warner Bros. executive took the decision after they saw the movie and were all praises for Ben Affleck’s Batman. But there are a few reasons that make us believe that both the characters Batman and Superman have been given equal importance in the movie.
Firstly the trailer itself proves the above point. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer does show a considerable amount of Batman but one should not forget that the Man of Steel has been given equal attention.
All the hatred that the movie will be showing has been focused on the Kryptonian. It is this conflict between a misunderstood hero and a veteran that by default allows both the central characters to get equal attention. The confrontation, the fight and their united stand against a common enemy will surely give attention to both.
Secondly, we have already had “Man of Steel” movie that has given us an origin story of Superman and was wholly focused on Superman. It re-narrated the story of how Superman became who he is today and what all he had to go through. So even if the movie has more of Batman, it is being done to re-establish the character as this movie is introducing a completely new version of Batman. It would be important for the movie to give us a little back story of Batman and the circumstances he has been in.
In other news, Coming Soon added that DC Collectibles recently revealed Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman statue’s first official look. It is being said that the statue will debut in March and costs $150. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will release on March 25, 2016.
