‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:’ General Zod Will Be A New Villain Altogether
This has to be the longest guessing round anyone must have ever played. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has successfully pinned everyone’s attention as DC fans can’t just stop speculating about who after all is the villain that compels Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to join forces and save the world.
Movie Pilot has perhaps the most intriguing theory on the villain until now. Forget Doomsday or Bizarro for that matter, according to the media outlet, the new villain will revolve around General Zod himself. The theory that does not really have a consolidated evidence to substantiate the claims it is making that General Zod will become something like a Cyborg Superman. Simply speaking, Zod could become a humanoid robot version of himself.
Given the fact that Zod had powers similar to Superman, the possibility of him becoming a totally new villain can’t be ruled out. According to the media outlet, Zod’s body is shown to be at Lexcorp where Lex Luthor will definitely try to experiment on Zod because all he wants to see is Superman’s destruction. There they probably merge Zod’s body with cybernetic technology that gives Lex the ability to control Zod version 2.0, but he loses control over it since Zod too wanted to finish Superman. One other point talks about the laser beam that is about to hit Batman, it actually comes from the newly incarnated Zod since Superman does not kill.
Flickering Myth on the other hand reported that Michael Shannon who plays the role of Zod has been wearing flippers, which further suggests that he might be doing this for necessary post-production work. The postproduction work these days in superhero movies have become a necessity because it in a way extends the canvas on which a filmmaker tries to paint his vision for a film. Using this technology in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” certainly means that fans will be treated to larger than life elements in the movie that Zack Snyder is sure to bring on screen next year.
