According to The Daily Beast, Michael Shannon who sat down for an interview with them cleared out the flipper hands story. Until now it was being believed that Michael Shannon’s character General Zod will be sporting flipper hands since he mentioned in an interview with Vulture that he was all locked up in a room and couldn’t open it because he had these flippers on.

The “Man of Steel” actor now cleared the story saying that his character General Zod is not even in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” He also mentioned that it surprises him that he is in the trailer of the movie, which he is not even a part of. Clarifying on why would the makers then show General Zod in the state he was shown in, Michael said that Zod’s appearance in the movie would be something similar to Russell Crowe’s Jor-El.

Both the characters died in “Man of Steel,” however, Jor-El lived in the movie because he has stored his consciousness that was ultimately deleted by Zod. There are chances that General Zod must have stored his consciousness too in the spacecraft that Lex Luthor finds and from there he will inform Lex about every Kryptonian’s weakness, that being Kryptonite.

JoBlo added that Michael was also kind enough to clarify that he has not suited up in the movie as General Zod but has done some little voice-overs in it, not before mentioning that the thing about Kryptonian Universe is that even when you destroy the characters, they come back as ghosts. The fans will see once “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” releases on March 25th next year.
