‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’: Michael Shannon Reveals New Details About His Character General Zod on Larry King Now
As if “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has not created enough suspense that rumors about “Man of Steel” villain General Zod keeps on confusing everyone. Michael Shannon, who played the role of the Kryptonian General, first made up a crazy flipper story and now has come up with an even crazier one when he was asked about it. Read on.
According to Cinema Blend, Shannon was on “Larry King Now” to clarify his comments about the flipper story that he previously shared and the one that set the Internet on fire. Within hours of sharing the crazy story, fans started coming up with theories as to why would Shannon be wearing flippers? Many thought that he must be doing that for some special effects and he must be playing Doomsday in the movie.
However, this time around he clarified his previous comments only to make them even more confusing. According to the “Man of Steel” actor, his character General Zod will be appearing in the same way as Jor-El did in “Man of Steel.” He also went on to mention that Russell Crowe’s character is kind of like a ghost and so is his in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
It can be safely assumed that when Shannon says kind of ghost, he means A.I because that is what Russell’s character was in “Man of Steel.” Maybe Lex Luthor finds a way to download Zod’s consciousness in some computer and with the help of A.I Zod devices a plan to take down Superman.
Comicbook.com added something really valuable to the story. According to the media outlet, when Larry inquired deeper on the issue if Shannon is in the movie or not, the actor simply replied with a “Yes.” However the most exciting part of the discussion is when the actor revealed that he has not crossed paths with the Batman, he only dealt with Superman. This definitely checks out the A.I Zod story as he might be haunting Clark because of how things ended in “Man of Steel.” Whoever the real villain be, this issue has successfully managed to create and maintain suspense about who the three heroes will be uniting for and fighting against.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will release on Mar. 25, 2016.
