‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Star Henry Cavill Joins ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Star Nicholas Hoult for a War Drama
Its not everyday you get to see extremely talented and attractive men together on-screen, but if the subject is compelling enough one might just get to see that. Latest in the roster of fabulous casting is Henry Cavill who has joined Nicholas Hoult along with Luke Evans for a war drama called “Sand Castle.”
According to Variety, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” star Henry Cavill and “Furious 6” antagonist Luke Evans have joined “Mad Max: Fury Road” star Nicholas Hoult in an Iraq War drama called “Sand Castle.”
The story is based on Screenwriter Chris Roessner’s experience as a machine gunner in the Sunni triangle. Nicholas Hoult will be seen in the lead role as Matt Ocre who is part of a mission to repair a broken water system in the remote village of Baqubah.
In the movie what makes the mission dangerous for the soldiers is that people in this remote village are not as welcoming as people in Baghdad are. Residents of Baghdad see the Americans as saviors but that is one sentiment that people in the village don’t share and resist their presence. The rest movie is about how the soldiers try to convince the villagers that they are part of the solution and are in fact there to help them. How they valiantly get out of the situation is what forms the rest of the story.
Coming Soon added that principal photography of the movie will begin on November 2nd and Voltage Pictures will be handling the international sales for the film as producers, currently hold US rights.
The movie’s cast is being called as one of its kind as it will feature the best of British talents, in a way continuing to make their presence felt in Hollywood. Apart from this project, Nicholas Hoult is reprising his role as the Beast in “X-Men: Apocalypse,” Henry Cavill will be seen as Superman in next year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and Luke Evans recently wrapped up “Beauty and the Beast.”
