‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Villain Hints at ‘Death of Superman’ Movie
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will see the Trinity of DC taking on one of the most lethal enemies of Superman called Doomsday. Since Doomsday is just a monster that knows nothing but destruction, using him in just one movie will not be sufficient. Here’s a theory, which hints that the monster could be used in other DCEU movies too.
According to Movie Pilot, the Doomsday we saw in the recently released second trailer of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” doesn’t really look like the Doomsday we are used to knowing in the comics. That is because, this isn’t the fully evolved form of the monster and it just happens to be in the first stage of development.
As many might know that the monster can regenerate and only gets stronger each time it does, so one can expect that if not in this movie, maybe sometime later in the DC Extended Universe, Doomsday will achieve its ultimate form where massive bones will be protruding from his skin.
According to the latest theory, Doomsday, after having been killed in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” will return in the end of “Justice League- Part 1.” According to it, when the League will be done dealing with the primary villain of “Justice League- Part 1,” it will have to face a fully evolved version of Doomsday at the end.
Looking at the circumstances and taking in to account any further threat to the world, Superman will step in and decide to take on the monster alone since he would like to keep the Justice League free so that they can focus on protecting the entire world in his absence and not get busy dealing with just one monster. This moment could potentially conclude the first part of “Justice League” and take us to the second solo adventure of Superman, which could also serve as “Man of Steel 2,” highlighting the death of Superman.
Once “Man of Steel 2” ends with the death of both Superman and Doomsday, the Man of Steel could resurrect and reunite with the Justice League in “Justice League- Part 2.” It would only sum up the League again because Darkseid could very well be the other villain Justice League will have to defeat. After having resurrected from his death in “Man of Steel 2,” Superman could perhaps make a late appearance in “Justice League-Part 2” and lead them to victory.
Cinema Blend added that in the dream sequence Batman has in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” where he can be seen fighting Superman’s henchmen, one can see creatures looking somewhat similar to the Parademons who serve Darkseid. This could be a potential Easter egg hinting at Darkseid’s entry in the DCEU and puts him as the major villain of anyone of the “Justice League” movies. We are sure DCEU’s lineup will clear up when “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” releases next year on March 25th.
