The much-anticipated trailer for Warner Bros.’ superhero action pic “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” could possibly premiere in front of “Jupiter Ascending,” which opens on Feb. 6, 2015, according to The Projection List. The Projection List bases their estimations on numerous factors such as “a project’s shooting schedule, distributor, subject matter, director, cast” among others. Other pics projected to have their trailer debut with “Jupiter Ascending” include “Furious 7,” “Magic Mike XXL” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed the pic “Man of Steel.” It is the intended sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel” and the second installment in the DC Comics’ shared universe films.
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” stars Henry Cavill, who reprises his role as Clark Kent/Superman from 2013’s “Man of Steel,” Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.
Pre-production began at East Los Angeles College in October 2013 while principal photography started on May 2014 in Detroit, Michigan. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled to release in the United States on March 25, 2016 and in the United Kingdom on April 29, 2016, in 3D, a sequel was announced at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, after the release of “Man of Steel.”
