‘Baywatch’ Movie Will Be R-Rated, Teases Dwayne Johnson; Will There Be More of Zac Efron’s Abs?

It has been a long time since the talk to make the big screen adaptation of the 90s TV show “Baywatch” is in process and only Dwayne Johnson’s name was in the picture. However, with the addition of “High School Musical” star Zac Efron in the movie, it turns out fans can expect that the upcoming movie adaptation will be R-rated. Will there be more of Efron’s abs? Read on for more details.

Yesterday, updates about the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the hit TV series “Baywatch” was announced. Zac Efron will play the second-in-command role in the movie, which is set to start shooting in early 2016 and much to the surprise of most fans the movie will be R-rated, as revealed by The Guardian.

The main lead of the beachside action comedy, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Twitter and said, “Welcoming my dude @ZacEfron to #BAYWATCH. Our movie will be big, fun and RATED R.. Like me when I drink.”

The 43-year-old “Furious 7” actor also revealed that the upcoming “Baywatch” movie will be “big” and that he had been in talks with Efron for quite a long time.

“Shirtless heaven and bikini dreams. And some good ol’ fashion “this is my beach b*tch” RATED R humor.#BAYWATCH,” Johnson added.

The story is about a very serious lifeguard (Dwayne Johnson), who joins forces with young Zac Efron and together they will save their beach from an oil tycoon, who tries to destruct their peaceful and lovely beach.

Just a few weeks earlier, Seth Gordon of “Horrible Bosses” has been set to direct the “Baywatch” movie and now comes the announcement of Efron’s name. Though no other details about the upcoming movie has been revealed yet, one thing for sure is that the preparation for the movie has started and it is clear that soon the all-star cast will be flooded with the set of hot babes.

“Friday the 13th” actor Damian Shannon and Mark Swift have written the screenplay for the big screen adaptation. Rumors are rife that David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson from the original series will reprise their roles. Well, we can only wait for more updates and for the movie’s release which is very far, but till then, we should trust our Rock as he will update us on the same because he seems just as excited as everyone else.
