Recently the writers and creator of the show gave a glimpse of the series. According to them the upcoming season is going to be better and darker than ever… than the previous seasons of the show.
As long as we remember, the season three aired more than a year ago and we were left by a cliffhanger. Sherlock was taken off by an airplane as punishment for murder and then he was called back when Moriarty’s face flashed all over England.
The fans were left by many speculations and questions about the ending and what will happen for the next season; Is Moriarty still alive? What will happen to Sherlock? But according to Steven Moffat, Moriarty is definitely dead…truly dead.
Though Moffat revealed that the next season will be darker and more intense, he keep his ground lock when it comes to other details of the upcoming Sherlock.
Meanwhile, despite Moffat announced that Moriarty is dead, there are still theories that there’s a possibility that he is still alive, there’s a possibility that the one who killed himself is just a twin or a puppet.
However, these things are merely speculations about the series. There are twists and turns that could happen like what happened to Mary who turned out to be an assassin. Whatever it is, there’s one thing that could possibly happen…the show will give us again another mind blowing season and a cliffhanger that will make us excited for another season.
On the other hand, there are also rumors saying that Mary Watson will die in the upcoming season which could possibly happen if the series will follow the book but the writer of BBC’s Sherlock says this is not the case.
So far, viewers are unlikely to see Sherlock Season 4 Holiday Special Episode will premier this coming December whilst the whole episode 4 won’t be premiering until 2017.
