Benedict Cumberbatch Speaks About BBC ‘Sherlock’s ‘The Abominable Bride’
Not only the star cast but also the fans of the BBC’s most famous series “Sherlock” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock and Watson, respectively are waiting for its another season desperately, but heartbeats have risen to high level after receiving the news related to coming up of “The Abominable Bride,” a Christmas special treat for all Sherlock lovers before the fourth season.
Till now, we have heard about this special episode through many sources but first time the detective himself talked on the same. Yes, Cumberbatch has opened up about how it feels to live the Victorian era, the original era when the detective came to existence. He said that it was so nice and delight to play him in his era but in the modern era, reports Den of Geek.
The “The Imitation Game” actor revealed that he was thrilled at first but shocked too after knowing that a special episode will be made based on the Victorian era, but it was one of the best experiences till date. On the question of Sherlock’s rude behavior, the actor said that it is the demand of the character to be rude because the detective is really very straight forward, he doesn’t give importance to high-class or money, what he really admires is qualities of an individual.
Talking about Sherlock-Watson relationship shown in the upcoming special episode, Cumberbatch said that there is a respect between them not awe. He also talked about the possibility of coming more special episodes of Sherlock by saying that it will depend on how audience will grab the coming episode and if it goes well then more episodes will also hit screens in case of season delays.
The “Commander of the Order of the British Empire” also shared about his determination of doing more of Sherlock and his love for the character. He said that he would love to ageing with Watson aka Freeman. The special episode will come alive on January 1, 2016 at TBC time on BBC One, so don’t forget to watch and enjoy the company of two best buddies.
