Mind-blowing star performances stole the Sunday night – The BET Awards 2015 show at the Microsoft Theater on June 28, 2015, in Los Angeles. Beyonce won three BET Awards, and Nicki Minaj & Chris Brown won multiple awards.

According to CBSNEWS, Janet Jackson was the winner of the Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award. The pop star got splendid attention as she entered the stage on the day – Nicki Minaj recorded the moment using her phone, Chris Brown yelled loudly in delight, and Laverne Cox expressed his emotions with tears.


Beyonce won three BET Awards including the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and video director of the year. However, she was absent for the show.

Nicki Minaj, the winner of Best Female Hip Hop Artist and the Coca Cola Viewers’ Choice Awards, collected the Hip Hop Artist onstage along with her mother. She later made a performance in the show with her boyfriend Meek Mill.

Chris Brown, who won the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, FANdemonium Award, and Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award, made several stunning performances at the show.

The hip-hop prince Kendrick Lamar received the Best Male Hip Hop Artist Award with a bout of seriousness. He gave a fiery performance with his song “Alright,” over a police car with a “large American flag waving behind him.”

Smokey Robinson, who was the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, performed a mixture of his hits.

Diddy fell during an exhilarating performance that celebrated Bad Boy Records’ 20th year anniversary, while Diddy, Lil Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, 112 and The Lox jointly presented a medley of past hits.

Anthony Hamilton and Gary Clark Jr. made a heart touching performance, showing photos of celebrities who died. Janelle Monae and Jidenna performed “Classic Man,” bringing a serious emotional atmosphere to the stage.

Rihanna, one of the A-listers among the audience, introduced a 1-minute clip of her new music video for “B—- Better Have My Money.” The stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Alicia Keys, and others also made their appearance on the show.

The 2015 BET Awards show was a blend of funny as well as serious moments. It was less about the awards, and the astonishing performances of various stars wrapped the night.
