Are Beyonce and Jay Z Jealous of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Success?

The very famous celebrity couple, Beyonce And Jay Z are in the news not for launching some new project or song but for getting jealous over the record breaking performance of F. Gary Gray’s “Straight Outta Compton” which hit theatres last week and believed to earned estimated $60 million till now. “Straight Outta Compton” is a biopic giving an inside look into the development and termination of the iconic hip-hop group N.W.A.

A close source to Jay Z and Beyonce told Naughty Gossip about the A-list couple’s reaction and said, “They are jealous. They think of themselves as the King and Queen and neither have had success like this in films. Straight Outta Compton earned $56.1 million for the weekend. You would want them to be happy of the success of a film like this, but secretly they hate it.”

The film shows how the N.W.A. group was created to popularize gansta rap and also depicts racial tension and police brutality. By earning more at the box office in its first week, the movie surpasses other big releases like “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” ($55.5 million) and “Ant-Man” ($57.2 million), both of which cost around $125 million to produce. Whereas, this biopic only cost $29 million to produce.

The real Dr. Dre and Ice Cube came to public and spoke on the one eye-popping scene involving a pit bull and a man in his underwear, they said, “yes, that actually happened,” reported The Hollywood Reporter.

This film was co-produced by original members Dr. Dre and Ice Cube and co-financed by Legendary Pictures. The cinematography was done by Matthew Libatique and musical beats are the work of music director, Joseph Trapanese.

Overall, the movie is fun and quite emotional too. And it has the power of making its competitors jealous of the box office numbers. No doubt, Beyonce and Jay Z were unhappy because it took so many efforts to go on top of the charts and yet “Straight Outta Compton” reached the top in just one leap.
