‘Bill and Ted 3’ Update: Keanu Reeves Cited Budget Problems; William Sandlers Expressed Doubts!
“Bill and Ted” franchise is making a serious effort to comeback. The previous movies from the franchise were just classic and the duo of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter is all set to giggle you up again. But there are few things that are still under production and are causing problem.
“Bill and Ted 3” will be directed by Dean Parisot and the script is all ready by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. The plot of “Bill and Ted 3” will follow Bill and Ted when they are 40 something.
The official Facebook page writes, “The film catches up with the Bill & Ted characters, 20 years after the events of the previous films. It sets to find out what happened to them, and explores the ideas of what if they hadn’t quite grown up, or saved the world, yet? The script also features multiple different versions of Bill & Ted.”
Alex Winter is giving out all kinds of good hopes for the franchise. But recently, only Keanu Reeves has expressed issue over budget as it is touching $150 million. And since, the franchise is not internationally acclaimed, financers are expressing doubts and hesitating from investing, reported VC Post.
In an interview with Hollywood News, William Sandlers expressed that he is more than happy being a part of the franchise but he has his doubts since George Carlin has passed away. George Carlin was like the guiding hand.
“I would love to, and I’ve told them. I think Alex [Winter] said that the Grim Reaper is in the script that they’re working on… He always turned out to be the one who was helping them along, and now that he’s gone, you have to write around him, or something. I haven’t seen a script, I hear there is one, but I loved the project.”
