Is It ‘Bizarro’ Or ‘Doomsday’ In Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice?
“Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” continues to attract speculation regarding the storyline. The recent trailer of the Zack Snyder’s creation has added the extra bit of fuel to these speculations. The trailer shows us the first look at the villain of the film and that apparently is neither of Batman or Superman Duh..but obvious.
However, it is a familiar character, in an unfamiliar look. Lex Luthor the famous antagonist of Superman brings up his Kryptonian counterpart General Zod back and raging. General Zod or Doomsday is what is he called in the film, has some very intriguing similarities with another Kryptonite creation known as Bizarro.
According to Comicbook, Bizarro is the creation of General Zod himself while on Krypton, to create an army and spread his terrorism. Bizarro is an imperfect & mindless version of superman, who has huge posture but a sad looking face.
In Silver and Bronze ages, Luthor was instrumental in bringing back Bizarro, but later that plan backfired as Bizarro helped Superman capture the Luthor himself. This history somewhat points out to the fact that in Snyder’s film Doomsday with similar posture is brought back by none other than Luthor.
However, Doomsday somewhat has very different history. Originating genetically, Doomsday is formed in Krypton for nothing but destruction. Luthor’s members discovered this killing machine and try to put him against their nemesis. Similarities in Doomsday and Bizarro are very much identical, however, many still denying it.
According to Cinema Blend the villain in Snyder’s film might be a merger of both Doomsday and Bizarro. As in terms of raw abilities, he is identical more to Bizarro, while stature wise he matches Doomsday. Whichever way we take, the villain is surely predicted as very powerful, owing to the fact that it takes almost the whole Justice League to feature in the film to stop his menace.
