‘Black Sails’ Season 3: Ray Stevenson’s Character Blackbeard Requires An Heir To Keep His Legacy!
In a recent interview with IGN, Ray Stevenson, who is popularly known for his role Titus Pullo in HBO/BBC TV series “Rome,” talked about a few aspects of his character Backbeard in “Black Sails” season 3. Continue reading to know more details.
According to the 51-year-old actor, when the viewers see his character Blackbeard in the “Black Sails,” they will experience him as a “living legend” and “colossus,” International Business Times Australia reported.
The TV series will show the returning of infamous pirate almost after a decade of his disappearance. He will also be seen practicing polygamy by having eight wives.
Stevenson also elaborated the actual target of Blackbeard in “Black Sails” saying that he would be seen in search of an heir who would be able to maintain his legacy, keep his legend alive and mark his place in the pages of history.
On the other hand, his other objective, other than seeking for an heir, is putting an effort to reconnect with somebody whom he used to previously mentor. In simple words, Stevenson opined that his character Blackbeard would give an endeavor to renew an old relationship.
As disclosed by the “Thor” actor, Blackbeard once had been one of the founding fathers of Nassau. But, he did not put emphasis to disclose which character in “Black Sails” season 3 was earlier close to Blackbeard. However, he revealed that the appearance of Blackbeard in the next season would turn the island of Nassau “upside down.” Still the Nassau’s pirates have been eagerly trying to retain the island’s autonomy and are in combat with each other to get control over it.
Crossmap also revealed some names of other characters like Francis Chouler as Lieutenant Perkins, Garth Breytenbach as Major Rollins. Still now, there is no update about their roles in “Black Sails.”
“Black Sails” season 3 is slated to hit the small screen in January 2016.
