Blizzcon 2015: Will Diablo 3 Get a Free to Play DLC? ‘World of Warcraft: World Championship’ Release Date Revealed
Blizzard Entertainment is going to arrange for its own annual games convention this year. The convention, appropriately named Blizzcon 2015, will be held from Nov. 6 to 7, 2015. The convention will be held in the Anaheim convention center and the tickets are already up for sale. Some have speculated that the best games from the Blizzard Franchise was absent at Gamescom last week for this very reason. Read on for more details.
The “World of Warcraft: World Championship” is expected to be released at the convention. Blizzard Entertainment has already announced the World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, “Legion.” The franchise group also announced that there were changes underway for “Diablo 3” and they are looking for an art director with special skills in the Diablo franchise. It is rumored that a new DLC is underway for Diablo and the games developers are furiously working on it. The news that there is a vacancy at Blizzard’s Diablo division will obviously be exciting to games developers and people who’d like to work with the company. We heard that candidates must have “a passion for games with a deep understanding of the Diablo franchise.”
Christian Post wrote that on studying the development timeline surrounding the Diablo franchise, the game being released is a “Diablo 3” DLC. Some are also suggesting that Blizzard Entertainment is about to release a free-to-play spinoff of Diablo.
IGN was quick to point out that even though the announcement on other Blizzard games were made at last week’s Gamescom event in Germany, news on Diablo was notably absent. At the Gamescom Blizzard unveiled Hearthstone’s new cards. They even talked about the new characters in the upcoming shooter game Overwatch. And much was said about the Heroes in Heroes of the Storm, but there was no news on Diablo, which is most strange.
VCPost reported the news first.
