Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode began with a young Serbian girl named Ana Marcovic (Mani Yaresh) trying to covertly dial 911 to record the fact that she was being abducted. It was when she was supposed to be taken to a hostel called the Gotham Youth Hostel. Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) discovered her call and asked for the case. This was the sixth European girl to have disappeared in New York after arranging to stay at that particular hostel, which only existed online.
At the Police Commissioner’s office, Sarah Grant (Amelia Rose Blaire) paid Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) a visit. She asked him to walk her down the aisle for three days as her entire family had been killed by Donald Barry, a sociopath. She also asked him to read the letter that he had sent her.
Later, at the church where she was going to get married, he told her that Donald Barry had written to apologize. It was because he wanted to meet with her as part of the Restorative Justice program. However, he didn’t think that it would be a good idea to meet him. She asked Frank to ask Barry to stop writing letters to her.
Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) discovered that her grandfather, Henry Reagan (Len Cariou) was dating a woman named Sylvia Haden (Tovah Feldshuh). After having lunch with her to find out more about her, she slipped a teaspoon that Sylvia had held, into her bag so that her investigator could look into Sylvia and her past.
That same day, Danny and Maria went over to Officer Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) precinct to ask him about his partner, Officer Edit “Eddie” Jenko (Vanessa Ray). They wanted her to go undercover for an operation that they were conducting. They then told both Jamie and Eddie that they wanted Eddie to go undercover as she spoke Serbian. It was also because she fit the type that the trafficking ring, who might just be under the Serbian Mob, was looking for. Eddie then agreed to go undercover, despite Jamie’s misgivings.
Later, in the office, Detective Abigail Baker (Abigail Hawk), Frank’s aide, informed him that in her opinion, that even if Frank didn’t think so, she believed that Barry was truly reformed and that he and Sarah should give him a chance.
Meanwhile, Eddie met up with Maria and Danny at the FBI’s office in New York, as the operation was a joint operation. She then spent the next few days preparing herself for her role as Edit Jankovich.
Sarah then surprised Frank as she showed up again in his office as she couldn’t seem to stop thinking about Barry. He then suggested that he go with her to meet Barry face to face so that she could finally deal with what happened before she got married.
Before Sunday dinner, Erin revealed to Henry that they had discovered that Sylvia had plenty of identities. She was also wanted in Palm Springs, with an order to extradite her, for grand larceny. However, he refused to turn her in. After dinner, Danny mentioned that sometimes bad people never really change, but try their best to convince others that they had changed for the better. Henry changed his mind, and together with Erin and Alex McBride (James Lesure), had Sylvia arrested.
Jamie then went to see Eddie, who was busy preparing for the operation, and told her that she wasn’t ready to undercover yet. However, after discovering that this case was personal to her because her own mother, who was Serbian and who had gone to New York just like Ana did, helped her prepare, and told her to stick to her mother’s story.
Later that day, Frank accompanied Sarah to the prison where Barry was. There, he told her that he wasn’t looking for forgiveness; and that he had found God and his purpose in life- to help other prisoners like himself. However, Sarah just told him to try to kill himself again and to make sure that he stayed dead.
That night, Eddie was tailed by the FBI and by another car with Jamie, Maria, and Danny. He was escorted into a white van by a woman named Tatiana (Elizabeth A. Davis). From there, she was brought to an apartment with young girls and men, and was forced into a room. There, the she pretended to take a shower and knocked out the man who was trying to force himself on her when she arrived with the toilet tank cover.
At that moment, Jamie and the others raided the apartment, found Ana to be alive, and arrested Tatiana, the ringleader after Eddie put a gun to her head.
The next day, Frank proudly escorted Sarah down the aisle and told her that her family would have been proud of her.
