‘Blue Bloods’ Recap: ‘Hold Outs’

“Blue Bloods” Season 6 Episode 9 “Hold Outs” aired last Friday, Nov. 2o, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. on CBS. In this episode, Officer Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Officer Edie Janko (Vanessa Ray) tried to figure out why a particular block kept on getting hit by the same gang, while Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) ended up sacrificing her vacation at the beach in order to retry a colleague’s case. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Francis “Frank” Reagan (Tom Selleck) stalled for time as he wasn’t sure if he was going to stay on as the current Police Commissioner.  Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Officer Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Officer Edie Janko (Vanessa Ray) going undercover as an elderly couple in order to arrest a gang of thieves who had been plaguing a particular block. However, the gang leader got away.

The next day, Jamie began to find it strange that that particular block got hit again, and his gut began to tell him that something else was at play.

After managing to apprehend the gang leader, Jamie used his knowledge of the  law in order to persuade him to give up whoever was paying him and his gang to scare the tenants living in that block.

He then agreed to wear a wire, and met up with the owner of some of the buildings in the area, who, as it turned out, had paid them to scare away the tenants.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) discovered, much to her chagrin, that she had to give up her beach vacation in order to retry a case that Assistant District Attorney Kelly Blake (Diane Neal) had gotten stuck. One of the jurors claimed that the prosecution failed to produce the other eyewitness who had seen a man named Angel Granderson (Dwayne Alistair Thomas)  kill Victor Kendrick in a car- jacking gone wrong.

However, after meeting with Granderson, and discovering that the missing eyewitness had been killed, Erin began to suspect that the wife of Victor, Louise Kendrick (Ana Reeder), had been involved in the murder.

After having her followed, her hunch proved to be correct, as she was spotted with another man- a two-time felon named Richard Hart (Paul Michael Valley), who later on confessed that they had plotted together to get Victor killed so that Louise and he could start a new life together.

While this happened, due to the fact that the current mayor had gotten re-elected, Police Commissioner Francis “Frank” Reagan (Tom Selleck), at every press conference he made, was barraged with questions as to whether he would stay on.

Later, he complained about the fact that the mayor hadn’t tried to bother asking him to stay on in a formal meeting, but in the end decided to stay on “indefinitely. He admitted that he wasn’t tired of being commissioner yet, but was tired of the politics involved with the job.
