Read on to learn more about this episode.
While Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) asked her daughter, Nikki (Sami Gayle) to hurry up in getting ready to meet her grandfather, Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), for breakfast, she called 911. She noticed that it was the third time that someone had broken in and move things around in her apartment. Later, at the office, Erin was jumpy. It was after she got scared after her brother, Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), showed up at her office unannounced. He then promised her that he and his partner, Detective Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) would check it out.
Meanwhile, while Nikki and Frank were having breakfast, they were approached by a teenager asking for donations for a local heroes charity. Frank then met his boss, Lauren Vickers. She told them that she would do the necessary paperwork. She could tell him that the proceeds of her operation go to the families of survivors of 9/11. This made Nikki proud of him as he rarely gave anyone the benefit of the doubt. Later, he had Detective Abigail Baker (Abigail Hawk) and Special Assistant to the Police Commissioner Sergeant Sid Gormley (Robert Clohessy) check out her story. When they couldn’t find any record of her, told them to exhaust all of their databases.
Meanwhile, Officer Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Officer Edit Jenko (Vanessa Ray) returned a missing dog to a family in a building. They were approached by the neighbor, Mrs. Beth Beeyar (Phyllis Somerville), who mistook Edit for her niece, Meg. She then had them look into the room of her boarder, as he, a man named JJ, had left a box full of “fireworks.” It turned out to be a pipe bomb which exploded.
Afterwards, the arson detective who was in charge of the case confused Beth. He didn’t believe her because when she was shown several pictures of several men who might be JJ, she picked out a man who was already dead. However, Jamie and Edit tried to get her to remember what JJ’s real name was, and what his former work was. It was after the arson detective’s team got blown up after they discovered JJ’s car. Because Maria, Beth’s other border, told them that JJ had been threatening to blow up his old workplace as he had recently lost his job. After a while, Beth remembered that JJ had thrown out an old work t-shirt, which had the logo of a local pipefitter’s union, and told them that his name was John Johanssen (David Shumbris).
Meanwhile, after Morgan (Staci-Lyn Charles), Erin’s colleague left the office, Danny told her that they had discovered that a blonde woman had been entering her apartment. However, Erin became distracted as the elevator doors kept on ringing. She then called for an ambulance. It was after finding Morgan on the floor, as she had been struck on the head. They are determined that the Fathers of Doom (FOD) biker gang was behind everything. She was trying a case against their leader, Jimmy Vitale (John Enos III), for trying to kill the boss of the 6th Death Corps gang.
After Danny and Maria paid a visit to Vitale in Riker’s, arrested his right-hand man, Sull. However, Sulley denied that they did anything to Erin.
Afterward, Jamie and Edit accompanied the arson detective to the pipefitter’s union meeting. JJ threatened to blow up the entire place. However, Jamie managed to shoot him down before he could trigger the bomb. Later, they told Beth that she had helped save a lot of people. They didn’t have the heart to tell her that her niece, Meg, who had been a postal carrier, had already died of cancer years before.
Danny then got called to the hospital. Morgan had woken up and told him that that a gang member from the 6th Death Corps was the one who had hit her. He then called up Erin and they two realized that that gang was trying to go after her. They could frame the FOD and in the process, remove them as rivals. As the 6th Death Corps was following her, she had her protective detail bring her to Danny’s precinct. They raided and arrested the two members who were responsible for harassing Erin.
Later that day, Frank arrested Lauren Vickers, who turned out to be a con artist named Elise Wickfield.
